Depression and Stress

Depression is a mental state characterized by a pessimistic sense of inadequacy and a despondent lack of activity and stress means state of matters, which causes worry or emotional tension or decrease the resiliency of human beings.

Depression is having the relation with stress, which depend upon the intensity, severity, and duration of stress; and our thinking patterns or ability to defend stress Both are different but conditions, which produce stress, is sometimes responsible to precipitate depression, or a stressful condition yields a sunken effect.

Depression is result of negative impact of stressful conditions in mind and affects the way of person’s eating, sleeps, feelings and thinking about someone, decision-making, self-esteem, and perspective to life. Continuous or repetitive stress produces depressive and negative thinking in person’s mind and precipitates in depression. The common symptoms of depression and stress are Insomnia, mental retardation, Absenteeism, addiction, Extreme anger and frustration, Family conflict, Physical illnesses such as heart disease, migraine, headaches, stomach problems, depression. There some specific symptoms for depression are aloneness, Sadness, loss of interest in the daily activities, Feeling of helpless, guilty, pessimism, hopeless, decreased confidence level and thoughts of suicide.

Depression is a neurotransmitter imbalance disease. A person with higher mental stability has less chance of development for depressive effect. While the stress symptoms observed to due to stress hormones. As per experts, there are two mechanisms to defend against stress are, fight and flight responses by releasing stress hormones, raise the blood pressure and the body prepares to react to the situation. Defensive action (fight response) against the stress use up hormones in the blood, entailing reduced stress effects and symptoms of solicitude. When we give up to encounter a stress situation (flight response) the hormones remain unused in the blood long period of time, precipitate stress related physical symptoms such as tense muscles, unfocused anxiety, dizziness and rapid heartbeats. Also result in the neural and hormonal imbalance, increased oxidation produce aging, and memory cell damage.

Depression and stress affect those people who are mentally instable and not able to fight or flight with stressful events respectively. Such events include physical requirements, growing up tension, health problems, pressure at work place, meeting deadlines, death of loved ones, difficult relationship, financial problems, family problems, loss of jobs, rapid cultural imbalance and lots more.

There are many evidences that suggest the precipitation of depression is independent and not always relates to stress. Depression is hereditary disease. Stress can be precipitated due to positive events such as getting married; relocate for job, starting a new job/business, etc. Many times stress detriment the people, but this is not right for each case. As per experts, moderate amount will be responsible to increase performance, to boosting out our abilities and to achieve a goal, like athletes, scientists are stressed themselves to achieve impossible and unbelievable goals.

A persons thinking pattern decide a tendency towards the depression and stress. There are aplenty methods available to cutback stress and depression effects, which include physical and mental exercise, lifestyle changes, meditation, music listening, deep breathing. Also make a habit of experiments with new thing like painting, reading new books, chatting, talking, go outside and find new friends to talk. Traveling is a best way to redirect the mind. Bipolar Depression Treatment

Bipolar depression is a psychiatric condition. Its symptoms are some unseen moods in a person, like sometimes extreme, unpredictable and often inappropriate moods. Mixed state is a condition of bipolar disorder in which symptoms of mania and clinical depression occur simultaneously. This is the most volatile state as the mood can easily be shifted.

The different episodes of bipolar depression can be treated and there are many treatments available for psychiatrist to choose from.

The most common problems affecting people from almost all age groups are that of anxiety and depression. Depression is one of the leading caused of suicide and should be treated as soon as possible.
