There are many types of depression and clinical depression is one of them and it is a very serious illness. It has symptoms like deep sadness and despair that troubles our daily life and causes many problems. A doctor best treats this depression and natural methods might be ineffective. Severe depression can be also of many forms and can also include Bipolar Disorder, which, is also known as Manic Depression. Another severe mental problem is Schizophrenia. When a patient is treated with such a treatment a seizure is the outcome of the treatment and these drugs help control the seizure. This treatment id carried out by putting electrodes on the scalp of the person and electric pulses are passed through the electrodes and this is known as shock therapy. This sends severe vibrations and can cause panic and shock in the patient so this procedure needs to be carefully monitored by a physician. The person might faint an become unconscious and wake up after a while and might not remember anything about the whole procedure. This treatment should not be carried out for al long period of time and should be used after some interval of time.
